Chau Uong, DO |

Chau Uong, DO is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with a focus on Interventional Pain Management at Excalibur Pain and Rehab. A native of New Orleans and an avid Saints fan, he received his osteopathic medical degree at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, OH in 2012. After completing a preliminary internship in Internal Medicine at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, OH, he completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and served as its Chief Resident in his final year at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in Wheaton, IL in 2016. He completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the National Pain Institute in Winter Park, FL in 2017. During residency, he delivered numerous poster presentations on case studies at the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and at the Association of Academic Physiatrists. He is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Texas Pain Society, the Texas Medical Association. “I find joy in being God's instrument to maximize a person’s function and help them live life to the fullest” he says. Furthermore, he strives to follow Saint Mother Teresa’s motto: “Do small things with great love.” He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, anything martial arts related, and whenever possible, being a beach bum.

Yvette Vu, RN, MSN is the practice manager at Excalibur Pain and Rehab. A native of Dallas, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Baylor University in Dallas, TX in 2008. After which, she worked for several years as a medical-surgical RN at Baylor Medical Center in Irving, TX. However, she aspired to touch more patient's lives on a greater scale; therefore, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Benedictine University in Lisle, IL in 2012. Her attention to detail allows her to provide meticulous care for her patients. She strives to follow Saint Therese of Lisieux's motto: "Without love, deeds, even the most brilliant, count as nothing". She loves spending time with her family, shopping, watching suspenseful crime and law shows, and reading romance novels.
